Counseling for Anxiety & Life transitions

a collaborative space to work through fears and uncertainty

Anxiety can manifest in various ways, affecting our lives on multiple levels. It may manifest as irritability, causing us to become short-tempered with those we care about. Perhaps you find yourself withdrawing from social activities, overwhelmed by a flood of thoughts in your mind. Or maybe your thoughts tend to gravitate towards the worst-case scenarios all too frequently.

Moreover, anxiety and life transitions can go hand in hand. As we find our place within various systems such as friend groups, families, or work environments, any shift or entry into a new phase of life can be unsettling. It can upend the sense of stability we once felt, triggering heightened anxiety and a diminished sense of self.

You can change these feelings and restore your confidence.

If you have experienced a life transition such as moving away from home or finishing college, you are in the right place. Here at Aspen Grove we commonly work with individuals going through similar experiences. We are well equipped to support you through these changes.

You are more than your anxiety

When persistent anxiety takes hold in one or more areas of our lives, it can feel as though it defines our entire personality. We may find ourselves describing ourselves as 'an anxious person' when asked to define who we are. But it doesn't have to be this way.

At Aspen Grove, we are genuinely excited for you to embark on this transformative journey, whenever you feel ready. We firmly believe that you have the power to reach a point where you can say, 'I experience anxiety sometimes,' freeing it from being a defining aspect of your identity.

how therapy works

  • Free Consultation

You are welcome to click the link below to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation or dive straight in and schedule your Intake Session.

  • First Session

Your first session will feel different from the rest. We will spend most of this session going over what therapy will look like and gathering information about what has brought you here.

  • Goals for Therapy

We will collaborate together to create a treatment plan with goals that are unique to you and the experiences that have brought you to therapy.

  • Ongoing Sessions

We will continually check in and monitor progress. It can be difficult to say how many sessions are needed to achieve your goals, so this stays an ongoing conversation between yourself and your therapist.

questions you may have

  • Individual therapy is a space to identify goals that you specifically desire to work on. Your therapist can assist in the development of these goals after your initial intake session.

  • This is a difficult question to answer as it is unique to every person. If you have desires or constraints on session amounts, please let your therapist know at your intake session so they can best support your desires.

  • There are a variety of resources out there including books, blogs by mental health professionals and local crisis resources. Please reach out for more information on these if needed.
